Sponsoring a child from Pre-elementary to High School levels cost only $32.00 per month or $384.00 annually. For College, the cost is $64.00 per month or $768.00 annually. Your sponsorship will provide the child with opportunities and services such as:
1) Access to education covering tuition fee, uniforms, books, shoes, P.E. uniforms and school supplies
2) Health treatment and training that includes annual and physical examinations, dental care and preventive health care strategies
3) Socio-emotional development activities that include opportunities to learn bsic social skills, grow emotionally mature, become a team player and participate in group activities such as fieldtrips, excursions, art, drama and dance.
4) Values Formation Program that is Christian and faith based
After each school year, a sponsor will receive an Annual Progress Report (APR) sent within 3 to 4 months after end of school year which is April in the Philippines. This will update you on how your sponsorship have become a blessing to your sponsored child. Also, every Christmas, you will receive a Christmas greeting card with recent picture of your sponsored child.
THE FULFILLMENT
Nothing could be more rewarding and fulfilling than to experience transforming a life of a child living in poverty. Here are ways you can do with the child sponsorship program:
1) Writing to your Sponsored Child
Nothing can make sponsored children feel more special or loved than when they receive letters from their sponsors. However, ANCOP Canada also recognizes the need of sponsors for privacy and is protected from unsolicited requests for favours, hence ANCOP Canada does not disclose mailing information of sponsors.
Sponsored children are requested to write to their sponsors at least once a year. The more letters you send, the more wonders you bring to their self esteem! Take a few minutes to write a letter and let them know you are thinking of them!
Here are some letter writing tips:
· talk about your family, home, job/school and city
· Send photographs or postcards
· Learn about your child’s hometown. This will show your child that you care and give you common topics of interest to write about
· Always use the child’s name
· Try to avoid mentioning things your child may never possess, such as expensive toys, new cars or homes and luxurious holidays
2) VISITING YOUR SPONSORED CHILD
In addition to writing, it is highly encouraged that sponsors visit their sponsored child. Experience first-hand the difference you have made in the life of a child, his or her family and community. Immerse yourself to the culture and bring home with you the message of hope to inspire more Canadians to take part of this miracle.

*ARE THERE POSSIBILITIES THAT MY SPONSORED CHILD WILL BE REPLACED?
Inasmuch as we want to keep the children active in the program, we feel sorry if we receive news of termination of a child from the program. Usually, a child is being taken out of the program due to the following reasons:
• He/she transfers to another location not included in our project sites.
• Voluntary termination from the project by the family
• Sponsored child not attending the values formation programs
• Parents are unsupportive of the different activities of the area
• Excessive absences from school/ dropped from school
There are also reasons for termination that we feelhappy especially if it because of a better life being experienced by the sponsored child’s family such as : the father got a good paying job, a member of his/her family was able to get a job abroad and has helped the family ; or the family had improved their economic standing. If termination is unavoidable, we will send you a letter
stating the reason for the termination as well as the Child’s Profile of your new sponsored child.
